BC Youth Parliament – The Youth Parliament is a non-partisan organization for youth ages 16-21.  It teaches citizenship through participation in a mock parliamentary session and in community service activities throughout the year.  For more information and the application forms, see their website: http://www.bcyp.org/

Gap Year – More students are interested in taking a year off of school to have a “gap year” between high school and post-secondary.  Mygapyear:http://www.mygapyear.ca provides resources for Canadians taking a year off.  There are many other sites about taking a CONSTRUCTIVE gap year.
